AAA events to showcase Disney
Disney’s popular Year of a Million Dreams promotion has been extended in 2008. The promotion randomly selects guests at Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts, plus mail-in participants, as winners. Carnival announces fuel surcharge
Carnival Corporation recently announced the implementation of a fuel supplement of $5 per passenger, per day for all cruises departing on or after Feb. 1, 2008. The supplement applies to the first and second passengers in a cabin, up to a maximum of $70 per person per cruise. New bookings and those currently under deposit or fully paid will be affected. Carnival Corporation North American brands are Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and The Yachts of Seabourn. It is the largest cruise group in the world, operating 84 ships with 21 new ships expected to enter service between now and June 2012. According to Carnival Corporation Chairman and CEO Micky Arison, the recent spike in fuel prices has dramatically impacted the company’s operating costs, including a 140-percent jump in what it pays for fuel in the past three years, and a 50-percent increase in the last seven months. |
