Drive through more than a mile of lighted exhibits at Central Park. Proceeds benefit local charities. The cost is $10 for cars and $15 for vans and hayrides.

What: 2008 Christmas in the Park
When: Nov. 20–Dec. 31
Where: Holmes Water Park, Tylertown
The biggest community event of its kind in the area, Tylertown's Christmas in the Park is a colorful Christmas display of millions of lights staged at Holmes Water Park. More than 32,000 visitors enjoy the display each year. The park is open seven days a week from 6–8:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for cars, $15 for commercial vans and $25 for buses.

What: 11th annual Nettles Studios’s Open House Pottery Show and Sale
When: Nov. 29–30
Where: Pass Christian
Celebrate Nettles Studios anniversary with a restored pottery studio and equipment. Tour the studio, view the largest Japanese style wood-fired kiln in the state (28 feet), and watch the wheel throwing demonstrations. The studio was established in 1977 and is located at 22291 Bells Ferry Road. Show hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday and noon–5 p.m. on Sunday.

What: 23rd Annual Christmas on the Water Boat Parade
When: Dec. 6
Where: Biloxi
Christmas on the Water has grown from a small boat parade 22 years ago to a community-wide celebration that offers something for all ages and all interests. Boats parade in full holiday décor from Channel Marker #5 (south of Lighthouse – Highway 90 and Porter Avenue) east towards Point Cadet Marina. A fireworks show will be held immediately after the parade. Best parade viewing locations: between the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor and Casino Row, or between the Biloxi Lighthouse and Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.

This lighted boat parade through Bayou Bernard begins in Gulfport Lake, down Bayou Bernard to the conclusion at the mouth of the Bayou at Big Lake. Bleacher seating is available for public viewing at Gulfport Lake and at the foot of the Cowan Lorraine Bridge. The parade starts at 6 p.m.
