What: “Capturing Fins and Feathers: Indiana Fish and Wildlife Stamp”

Where: Angel Mounds State Historic Site, Evansville
This art exhibit highlights the winning artwork of the Indiana Department Fish and Wildlife Service’s Stamp Program. The Stamp Program is devoted to selling fish and hunting stamps to help to maintain different species of birds and fish around the state of Indiana.

What: University of Louisville Faculty Exhibit
When: through Nov. 26
Where: Jasper Arts Center
The faculty of University of Louisville’s Department of Fine Arts at the Hite Art Institute will present a collection of sculpture, paintings, photography and more in the Krempp Gallery at the Jasper Arts Center. A reception will be on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 1-3 p.m. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. on Thursday and noon–3 p.m. on Sunday.

What: 29th Annual Victorian Christmas
When: through Jan. 4, 2009
Where: Reitz Home Museum, Evansville
Tours of the Reitz Home Museum, located at 224 S.E. First St., will be given while the home is decorated for Christmas. Each of the 15 rooms in the house will be decorated by different area designers and schools.

What: Breakfast with the Sugarplum Fairy
When: Nov. 22
Where: The Centre, Evansville
A world of imagination awaits children and families at this fund-raising event for the Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe). The event includes a brunch, style show, vignette from “The Nutcracker” ballet by the Evansville Dance Theatre, photo opportunities and a silent auction. Please call for reservations. The Centre is located at 715 Locust St. Tickets are $20 for children, $35 for adults and $250 for a table of eight.

What: 20th Annual American General Downtown Holiday Parade
When: Nov. 22
Where: Downtown Evansville
The celebration will begin with Santa’s Workshop, Presented by Fifth Third Bank, in the park on Fourth and Main Streets from 1 to 3 p.m. with arts and crafts for children. Then it culminates with the Holiday Parade at 3 p.m. The parade will start at The Centre, travel down Locust Street to Second Street, turn onto Main Street to MLK Boulevard and then back to The Centre.

What: Santa’s Arrival

Where: Jasper
Santa arrives in downtown Jasper on a Jasper Fire Truck and meets with all the children in Santa's House, located on the west side of the downtown square. Santa will be in his house every weekend, till Christmas. Bring in the children to visit with Santa.

What: Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights
When: Nov. 27–Jan. 4
where: Garvin Park, Evansville
Some 50 larger-than-life displays will be set throughout the park to delight the crowds of motorists who tour the scenes. Proceeds support the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center’s services to the disabled. The park is at North Main Street and Heidelbach Avenue.

What: Winter Carnival Christmas Lights & Display
When: Nov. 29–Dec. 30
Where: Vanderburgh 4-H Center, Evansville
This beautiful winter light display covers the grounds of the 4H Center, located at 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road. It serves as a fundraiser for various 4H activities. The display is open 6–9 p.m. Friday–Sunday. There is a donation box at front gate.

What: “Coming Home”

Where: Jasper Arts Center, Jasper
Visual Arts Committee members and recent area art school graduates will exhibit their own work in this exhibition in the Krempp Gallery at the Jasper Arts Center. A reception and annual volunteer thank you for the nearly 200 volunteers who help all year long will be from 7–9 p.m. on Dec. 5.

What: Peppermint Pops "Christmas Through the Eyes of Children"
When: Dec. 6–7
Where: The Victory Theatre, Evansville
The most popular holiday event in the Tri-State makes children of all ages feel young at heart. This season, the Philharmonic presents “Christmas Through the Eyes of Children” featuring the internationally renowned Indianapolis Children’s Choir. The ICC joins the Orchestra and the Evansville Children’s Choirs in an inspiring program which includes music from the films “Polar Express” and “Home Alone.” The Victory Theatre is at 600 Main St. The show is at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

What: Annie Moses Band Christmas Show

Where: Jasper Arts Center, Jasper
Named after their great-grandmother, this family group includes three Juilliard-trained siblings as well as mom, pop, three other siblings and additional band members. They will have the audience rocking with something for everyone, from classical to country, and a little Celtic thrown in. Tickets are $30 for adults, $27 for seniors and $22 for students and children. Shows are at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
