After settling-in, feel free to step out and explore at your own pace along the elegant shops and cafes which line one of the most beautiful streets in Rome.

Day 2 – Stepping Out in the Eternal City

After a sumptuous buffet breakfast, meet your guide and head over to the Vatican where you’ll be whisked past the lines for a private tour of the Vatican Museums, home to the Sistine Chapel and a breathtaking collection of art and antiquity. Your private sightseeing continues with the city’s most legendary monuments. Stand in the Colosseum where enthusiastic crowds of up to 70,000 Romans witnessed competitions and spectacles nearly 2,000 years ago. Admire the elegance of the Pantheon designed by Emperor Hadrian in AD 120 and still revered as one of the most beautiful and best-preserved of the city’s ancient monuments. Then do as thousands of others have done before you and throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain as you make a wish! Finish your day with time to relax on the Spanish Steps before diningat the legendary Il Piccolo Mondo restaurant, a city landmark since 1954. Meals B, D

Name your pleasure! Art? History? Fashion? The day is yours to pursue your own passions... After a leisurely breakfast, your private car and chauffeur are at your disposal for the day – to create your own vacation magic here in Rome. Day 5 – Florence a la Carte!

Customize your stay and explore your own personal interests with one of these included full-day privately guided tours:

  • Florence: Delve into the treasures of this Renaissance gem and enjoy lunch. With your own personal guide, your in-depth sightseeing tour includes the masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery, established by the Medicis in the 16th century. Then tour the Duomo where you can admire Brunelleschi’s dome, an enduring work of artistic and engineering genius from the 15th century.

  • Pisa & Lucca: Discover this duo of charming Tuscan towns, with lunch and wine tasting. Of course, you’ll see the iconic Leaning Tower, but you’ll be impressed as well by the nearby Cathedral and 13th century Baptistery. Not far from Pisa, the charming fortress town of Lucca is famed for its 16th and 17th century ramparts, myriad churches and narrow cobblestone streets.

  • Siena & San Gimignano : Succumb to the magic of these medieval gems and enjoy lunch and a tasting of local wines. Wealthy and powerful during the Middle Ages, Siena will impress you with its splendidly preserved architecture, seemingly unchanged over the centuries. And the famous towers of San Gimignano are a picturesque backdrop to the handsome medieval buildings that cluster around the central plaza.

  • Chianti: Explore picture-perfect villages, relax over lunch, and sample the fine wines of Chianti. Just south of Florence, Italy’s arguably most famous region is a captivating landscape of hill towns, ancient olive groves, and tranquil vineyard estates.

This evening, we’ve arranged for your luggage to be sent ahead to your hotel in Venice. Meals B,L

Day 6 – Florence to Venice

A private car transfer and first class rail ensure a carefree journey to Venice. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and escorted by vaporetto to the luxurious Luna Baglioni Hotel - where your luggage awaits. Your privately guided walking tour reveals the city’s intriguing history and glorious architectural legacy. Begin your day in St. Mark’s Square. This expansive plaza is one of the world’s most elegant, framed by the marble tracery and glittering domes of St. Mark’s Basilica. Nearby, you’ll visit the imposing Ducal Palace and continue on to admire the Bridge of Sighs, built in 1600 to connect the Doge’s prisons with the inquisitor’s chambers. With our compliments, enjoy a bottle of wine on your private Gondola cruise along the meandering canals of the city. Meals B

After breakfast, you are escorted to the airport or rail station for your onward journey. Meals B
