After breakfast, you’ll be escorted to the airport. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll be warmly greeted for your transfer to the hotel of your choice, the superior first class Victoria Angkor or La Residence, a deluxe resort.
This afternoon, join your private guide to begin your in-depth exploration of the magnificent jungle ruins of Angkor, once the royal seat of the mighty Khmer Empire. First you’ll explore imposing Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world with a volume of stone equaling that of the Cheops Pyramid in Egypt. Inspired by 12th century Hinduism, it took an estimated 30 years to build Angkor Wat, including the intricately carved bas-reliefs which adorn all four sides of the temple.

This morning you’ll discover the monumental magnificence of Angkor Thom – the last capital of the Khmers, with its Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the stunning Bayon temple. Then visit Preah Khan, an extensive monastic complex respected for the painstaking renovation work which has preserved its original structure and mysterious allure.

In Hong Kong… Leave behind the skyscrapers and bustle of Kowloon, Central and Wanchai and discover Lantau - the largest of Hong Kong’s 235 islands! This full day Privately Guided excursion begins aboard the express ferry to Lantau Island where our car and driver will first take you to Cheung Sha Beach, Hong Kong’s longest. Continue with your guide to Tai O, a picturesque fishing village, and then drive up the winding mountain road of the Ngong Ping Plateau to visit Lantau’s magnificent Giant Buddha - the world’s largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha. Walk along the Path of Wisdom and sit down to a traditional Buddhist vegetarian lunch at the tranquil Po Lin Monastery, followed by a tour of the monastery grounds. In Bangkok… Step out with your own private guide in the quiet of early morning to participate in a traditional Buddhist ritual, one that is still practiced daily by millions of Thais all across the country. This unique and memorable experience begins with a short Tuk Tuk ride to a nearby temple, where you will join neighborhood residents in placing food and flower offerings in the bowls of Buddhist monks as they pass by in a procession. A short prayer and the ringing of a hallowed bell mark the conclusion of the morning Alms. Afterward, your personal guide can serve as an interpreter if you wish to engage more personally with the monks in a discussion about Buddhism and the important role it plays in contemporary daily life.
