Day 2 Salt Lake City - Jackson
Leaving Salt Lake City behind, journey northward and across the Oregon Trail, which was the only feasible route west in the 19th century, en route to Jackson, Wyoming. There will be time for group members to wander through this authentic old-western town, framed dramatically by the Grand Tetons to the north. Why not stop for a drink at the Million Dollar Cowboy saloon? This evening enjoy a special “western-themed” dinner.
Hotel: Antler Inn
Meals: Breakfast and a Chuck wagon Dinner Show
Day 3 Jackson - Yellowstone
Traveling northward from Jackson, enjoy a leisurely pace today on our way to Grand Teton National Park; which protects awe inspiring mountain scenery and a diverse collection of wildlife. The central feature of the park, the Teton Range, is a 40-mile-long mountain range rising from the valley floor some 6,000 feet. This jagged range includes its signature peak “Grand Teton” at 13,770 feet high and at lease twelve pinnacles over 12,000 feet. This afternoon, continue on to the nation’s first National Park, Yellowstone. The world’s largest thermal basin, Yellowstone is an area of erupting geysers, steaming fumaroles, burping mud pots and boiling hot pools.

Day 5 Yellowstone Salt Lake City
Saying farewell to Wyoming, we drive southward and return to the Mormon state of Utah. Like many earlier American settlers, the Mormons traveled across the country in search of a place where they could practice their religion without persecution. On seeing the Salt Lake Valley for the first time, Brigham Young proclaimed to his followers “This is the right place”. Salt Lake City is the cultural and ecclesiastical as well as political capital of Utah and lies at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. A city tour will highlight the downtown area, Temple Square, Heritage Park and the state capitol. Hotel: Sheraton City Center
