Public & Government Relations

Throughout our history, AAA has worked to make streets and highways safer. We work closely with schools, law enforcement agencies, legislators and private industry to strengthen laws and improve driving habits.

Traffic Safety and Driver Education

Since the 1920’s, AAA has aggressively promoted the development of safety on highways. We provide material for parents of pre-school children and classroom material for kindergarten and grade schools. AAA also sponsors the AAA School Safety Patrol program and supports high school driver education programs and the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

Legislation

AAA continually evaluates and responds to legislation and regulatory measures that affect motorists and travelers. Our concern is to protect your interests as a motorist, to ensure that automobile drivers are not the targets of discriminatory legislation and to promote safe and efficient travel.

Public Information

AAA keeps members and the public informed on legislation, safety, and consumer affairs through frequent news releases, public appearances and public service oriented brochures.

AAA Traveler Magazine

The Traveler magazine is published for AAA members and is included as part of your AAA membership. This colorful, informative publication is sent directly to the primary member’s home six times a year to help keep you up to date on benefits, services and other opportunities available to you as a member. Each issue of AAA Traveler includes features providing helpful information on a variety of travel subjects and destinations.

Annual Primary membership dues include a one year subscription to AAA Midwest Traveler or AAA Southern Traveler magazine.
