Displays in this eclectic collection range from war memorabilia, vintage cars and antique woodworking equipment to toys, records, comics books and baseball cards. Among more than 10,000 keepsakes are Roy Rogers and Smokey Bear collectibles, some 500 movie posters and the donated baseball lockers used in the movie “A League of Their Own,” which was filmed in Evansville. The museum also is the headquarters for the National Veterans Memorial (www.nationalveteransmemorial.org).

Indiana’s largest permanent Lincoln bicentennial exhibit located at Buckskin, Indiana, located along Hwy. 57, in Gibson County. The exhibit is titled “Abraham Lincoln’s Legacy: How it has and continues to influence our region and country”, the exhibit ends December 31, 2010.

The exhibit has been organized by James Gerald Henager, a lifelong Lincoln enthusiast. He and other volunteers have been working on the exhibit for seven months. It includes approximately 300 pieces of Lincoln memorabilia that are to be displayed for public viewing. The exhibit also includes more than three hours of film footage pertaining to Lincoln and his legacy. The centerpiece of the display is a flag that flew over the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. on Lincoln's birthday --the start of the celebration. Items have come from all over the country as well as the National Park Service.

In 2008 the museum started showing Classic Movies. The movies are included in the regular admission to the museum. Every month the museum changes movie titles so everyone will be able to enjoy their favorite star from the past.
