Missouri Mavericks and AAA team up for great ticket discounts

The Missouri Mavericks are charging toward the top of the Central Hockey League standings, and now AAA members can enjoy the action on the ice in Independence, Mo., at a discount.

The Missouri Mavericks have partnered with AAA to offer significant savings off select regular ticket prices for select home games this season. Including handling charges, the AAA member rate is $20.25, a 35-percent savings off the regular price of $31.05.

The discount will offered for the games featuring the Arizona Sundogs on Saturday, Feb. 4; and the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday, March 17. The first 1,000 fans at the Feb. 4 game will receive a frisbee, and fans at the March 17 game will receive a tote bag.

In the midst of their third season, the Mavericks are coming off their best season to date in which the team was 37-23-6 for 80 points, finishing just four points out of first place. The team is coached by Scott Hillman, who previously coached the Knoxville Ice Bears of the Southern Professional Hockey League after playing nine seasons in the CHL, primarily with the Odessa Jackalopes where he was a four-time CHL All Star.

Playing in the new Independence Events Center, the Mavericks ranked second last year in average attendance in the CHL, which consists of 14 teams playing across nine states. The Independence Events Center features a 75,000-square-foot arena bowl with 5,800 fixed seats, 25 luxury suites, a bar and grill, and a community ice rink.

All Missouri Mavericks home games start at 7 p.m., and doors open at 5:30 p.m. Fans who arrive from 5:30–6:30 p.m. can take advantage of early bird concession rates, including hot dogs and soft drinks for $1, nachos for $2, and burgers and specialty beers for $3.
