Employees who are interested in flexible work hours are encouraged to work with their managers to create their own work schedules. This is allowed based on the workflow in each department and with managers' permission.
A common flexible work schedule is to work one extra hour per day. This gives the employee a paid day off during the same pay period. Many employees enjoy the convenience and ability to create a portion of their work schedule.
Another method of providing employees flexible employment opportunities is called job sharing. Each department manager has the authority to establish job-share positions. Employees have the opportunity to volunteer to work flexible part-time hours in conjunction with another employee. Managers are encouraged to support job-share requests whenever possible.
