1960 - AAA wins award from the National Association of Travel Organizations for its cooperation in the "Visit the USA Year" proclaimed by President Eisenhower.
1965 - AAA's "Teaching Driver and Traffic Safety Education," a textbook for college students is published. It is the first such textbook to be produced.
 1967 - AAA provided travelers checks in national program with First National City Bank. This was the first instance of such an arrangement between a bank and a private organization.
